Sewer Assassin Returns to PestWorld 2026—Bigger, Stronger and Ready to Demonstrate the Future of Sewer-Based Pest Control
Once a year, the pest-management industry comes together for its biggest and most important event in the United States: PestWorld.
PestWorld brings the industry’s leading manufacturers, distributors, pest-control companies, educators, researchers and technical minds together under one roof. It is where new products are introduced, new techniques are demonstrated and important conversations about the future of pest management take place.
This year, PestWorld 2026 will be held October 20–23 at the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center in Grapevine, Texas.
Why PestWorld Is Worth Attending
PestWorld offers pest-management professionals an opportunity to see what is changing across the industry before those changes reach the wider market.
Attendees can:
- See the newest pest-control products and technology
- Speak directly with manufacturers and product developers
- Learn from industry experts and technical educators
- Attend educational sessions covering pests, regulations, business operations and emerging challenges
- Meet distributors and compare equipment and product solutions
- Network with pest-control professionals from across the country and around the world
- Discover new services that can increase revenue and improve customer retention
PestWorld is more than a trade show. It is an opportunity to step away from daily operations, study where the industry is headed and bring new ideas back to your company.
Sewer Assassin’s Third Year at PestWorld
PestWorld 2026 will be Sewer Assassin’s third year exhibiting at the show—and we have grown by leaps and bounds during that time.
When we first introduced Sewer Assassin, our goal was to help pest-management professionals close one of the biggest remaining gaps in pest-control programs: the plumbing.
Today, the Sewer Assassin brand provides professionals with tools to detect, prove, monitor and control sewer-based pest activity while also helping companies locate the plumbing breaches that allow pests to enter structures.
We are excited to return to PestWorld and show how far the brand has come.
Introducing the Sewer Assassin Monitoring Board
One of the newest additions we will showcase is the Sewer Assassin monitoring board.
This board can be deployed directly inside a 3-inch or 4-inch plumbing clean-out using the Sewer Assassin Plumbing Monitor and Control Station. It allows pest professionals to monitor for sewer-based pests such as American cockroaches and drain flies inside the plumbing system.
Why is that important?
If you are battling American roaches or drain flies inside a structure and capture the same pest inside the plumbing, you now have physical evidence connecting the interior problem to the sewer or drain system.
That evidence changes the conversation.
Instead of continuing to guess, repeatedly treating the interior or moving traps and bait without addressing the source, you can show the customer that the pest is present inside the plumbing.
Once sewer-based activity has been confirmed, the Sewer Assassin station can be converted from monitoring to an appropriate control program using products labeled for that application. Plumbing smoke testing can then be performed to locate the damaged pipe, open connection, failed seal or other plumbing breach allowing those pests to enter the building.
This process gives pest-management professionals a clearer path:
- Detect activity inside the structure.
- Monitor the plumbing.
- Prove the pest is present in the plumbing system.
- Establish an appropriate Sewer Assassin control program.
- Perform plumbing smoke testing to locate the breach.
- Correct the structural or plumbing defect.
- Continue monitoring to verify the problem has been resolved.
This approach can be used when investigating the three major sewer-based pest groups: rodents, American cockroaches and drain flies.
See FogTrace Smoke Testing in Action
We are also bringing a new working display to PestWorld 2026.
The display uses clear 4-inch plumbing so attendees can watch FogTrace fog travel through a realistic plumbing system and escape through simulated breaches.
This will not be a picture or a video. You will be able to see how the process works in real life.
The demonstration will show how FogTrace introduces controlled, high-density fog into the plumbing system and how that fog follows the piping until it reaches an opening. When fog appears outside the system, it provides visible evidence of the location where sewer-based pests, sewer gases or odors may be entering a structure.
For pest-control companies, bringing plumbing smoke testing in-house creates an opportunity to solve difficult recurring accounts without waiting for another contractor to locate the problem. It can help reduce callbacks, improve customer retention and add a valuable diagnostic service to your company.
More importantly, it allows pest professionals to address the source of the infestation instead of continually treating its symptoms.

Come by Booth 314 to:
- See the new Sewer Assassin monitoring boards
- Learn how to monitor directly inside plumbing clean-outs
- Discuss control options for sewer-based rodents, American roaches and drain flies
- Watch live FogTrace plumbing smoke-testing demonstrations

Improve Plumbing Diagnostics With FogTrace™
Avoiding common plumbing smoke testing mistakes begins with proper preparation, a complete inspection process, and equipment designed for professional plumbing diagnostics.
The FogTrace™ Plumbing Smoke Test Machine uses high-density, water-based fog to help plumbers locate openings in drain lines, sewer systems, and vent stacks. Its push-button operation and wireless remote allow plumbers to start and stop the machine while inspecting the property.
FogTrace™ also removes the need to continually purchase traditional smoke bombs or candles, making it a practical solution for plumbers who regularly diagnose sewer odors and hidden DWV system defects.
